Dear Friends

For He knew all about us before we were born and He destined us from the beginning to share the likeness of his Son. This means the Son is the oldest among a vast family of brothers and sisters who will become just like him.
(Rom 8:29 TPT)

This promise is for all of us. But like a suitcase carrying items necessary for your trip, you will need help "unpacking just how does this work in my life with Jesus?"

I'm including a number of things I've gathered in the way of Quotes from one of my "spiritual Papa's, John Sandford. These have helped me "unpack" this work of God's Spirit in me becoming like Jesus.

As you read them, I'm praying that your mind
would be illuminated with "the light of Holy Spirit understanding."

Quotes from John Sandford

“My old identity has been co-crucified with Jesus our Messiah and no longer lives; for the nails of His cross crucified me with Him. And now the essence of this new life (identity) is no longer mine, for Jesus the Anointed One lives His life through me—we live in union as one! "

"My new life is empowered by the faith of the Son of God who loves me so much that He gave himself for me, and dispenses His life into mine!"

Gal 2:20 – TPT
"So it’s necessary for Him to increase and for me to be diminished."

John 3:30 - TPT
"When we see things within ourselves that are not in keeping with, “The Fruit of the Spirit,” John invites  us to ask Jesus to bring those things to death on the cross, within us."
(Thus activating Galatians 2:20 in us.)

“The self-death of Jesus is so complete, that when you bring yourself to death in Him, all the time, He doesn’t wipe you out. He doesn’t make you a cookie cutter copy of Himself. Instead, He makes you to be the most you can be. The more you bring yourself to death, the more you become who you are."

Sanctification: Is the process in which the Holy Spirit brings us daily to more death of self and more life in Christ. Sanctification is not trying to live up to a bunch of rules.

Transformation: Is the process of sanctification in which the Holy Spirit Transforms all our weaknesses to strengths, our deserts into gardens and our weaknesses to blessings. Transformation means Satan has won no victories whatsoever.

Does the Scripture mean nothing to you that says, “The Spirit that God breathed into our hearts is a jealous Lover who intensely desires to have more and more of us”?
(James 4:5 TPT)

Blessings!
